How it works
Four steps
Catalog, take one, packet, leave.
HoodStreet gave him the oats idea. This is that idea as a list: a named repo, an honest status, an owner — not the old saga of great expectations and a letdown.
- 1
Pick a project with an honest status
Live means you can run it. Salvageable means the hard part is done. Instructive is notes, not a gift. Seed is a breadcrumb. If we skip that, people feel dumped.
- 2
Opt in with a name
Saving it in this app is local, not ownership. The real opt-in is a DM or saying on Building Live: I will take this. 'The room' is not a founder.
- 3
Copy the packet, take the keys
Who it's for, what worked, what failed, next three steps, access, license. Private projects stay locked until STACC moves keys. Public ones you can clone today.
- 4
Four weeks, then advisory
STACC helps. After week four: questions and reviews, not the founder. Write the end date. Credit stays: you shipped it, oat by STACCoverflow.
Stage tags
- Live
Demo or repo you can actually run. Ready to hand off if someone takes it.
- Salvageable
The hard bit is done. Needs a named owner, not another weekend.
- Instructive
Dead or quiet, still a map. Read it. Do not ship it as live.
- Seed
Empty, renamed, or a breadcrumb. Not a gift. Not a dump.
Rules from STACC
- Keep the ethos. Share the oats.
- No forced face. No forced token.
- Shipped by them, oat by you.
- The goal is infinite oats with the homies.
- Don't dump half-broken repos and call it sharing. Don't pitch unfinished work during NFT shopping hours.
